My Cup Runs Over
As we face this recession and some people call it a depression. I have no fear. When American one of the most bountiful lands in the world pushes God out of schools where children are molded into adults. So now we have to take precautions of school terrorism rather just praying together. The prayer of agreement is one of the most powerful tools God has given us. Even Jesus himself prayed in the garden before we went to the cross. Prayer also calls us to crucify our flesh and fast to hear the voice of God. When you have no idea what else to do and you run out of words to say just pray. I guarantee the Father God hears you when no one else cares.

Even thought they took prayer out of school, I never stopped praying. This world is very crazy and especially at this time. Makes you really take extra steps to getting your life together so if He does come back, you'd be ready. Good blog!
ReplyDeleteForgive me for editorializing, but I think prayer should be in the home and the church. If children get it there, we don't have to worry about the schools.
ReplyDeleteSorry--just my opinion.

I think it is a very touchy subject. I am a strong believer and proud of my Christian faith because of how I was raised. Due to my upbringing, the whole "prayer in school" thing has never been an issue for me. I pray when I feel like it. I dont have to stand up and announce it over the loud speaker for everyone to hear in their classes. I simply call out to God and even if no words are spoken, I believe he knows what I am saying.
ReplyDeleteAlso due to my upbringing I know that you must respect other people's faith. There are people who believe differently than I do and that is fine. I dont necessarily agree with taking prayer out of schools, but I dont necessarily disagree with it either. If parents want their children to pray, then teach them. Teach them that there is nothing to be ashamed of when you pray, but when you are at school/work/wherever show them that you can talk to God silently. Prayer is powerful! Whether it is said outloud or in your heart. Our actions on a daily basis are much more of a Christian example than simply praying every morning in fromt of the class. That is what we should be teaching our children.
